Day 12 - Saturday (25 February) was an uneventful day. It was cloudy, cool and damp. I wanted to walk down to the mail box, but could not find the energy. LD cooked bacon and our family's traditional "Saturday Morning Pancakes." This was always a special time when the grands were visiting. I feel sooooo much better in a weird sort of way. My spirit was disturbed by and overwhelming sense of doom. My prevailing COVID complaints and ailments (Violent wet cough, extremely sore throat and runny nose) have basically subsided. Praise the Lord!!! Now it feels more like a bad head cold with nasal congestion, a bit of post- nasal drainage and chapped lips. The drainage causes me to cough up phlegm. However, it is not so white and thick like glue anymore. I am still pushing the fluids to break up the mucus and get rid of the drainage. Periodically I have to hark it up to get rid of the choking feeling. The deep breathing is still some what a challenge due to the nasal congestion. Robitussin DM, Halls cough drops and Vicks VapoRub are the main Over the Counter (OTC) symptomatic meds now. I still take vitamins C/D Zinc, CoQ10 and Cod Liver Oil. Pineapple Juice and water were my main fluids today. Perhaps tomorrow I will try the green tea with Turmeric, garlic, and apple cider vinegar. [Not sure about this combination].
I worked over the phone to help a MVM Adopted Family locate rental prospects. Hopefully, the situation will be resolved by Monday. They are staying in a hotel for the next two months. "But for the grace of God, there goes I..." -- Coordinated a "gift-in-Kind" donation for another adopted family. Friends and family checked in. The get well cards lifted my spirit. CNP MR checked on my health status: Temp 96.6 -- Oxygen 96/97 Pulse 61.
Ate leftovers for lunch - Dinner was compliments of K&RH: Olive Garden's Chicken & Shrimp Carbonara - salad and bread sticks. It was delicious.
