I can hardly wait for January 20, 2021 to get here. I so look forward to President-elect Biden and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris "restoring the soul of America" bringing decency and integrity back to the White House. This year, 2020, has been a wild ride of uncertainty. My soul is vexed from the lack of leadership in this country's handling of the coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic. Greater than 300,000 are dead and the numbers are still rising. Trump knew back in February that this was a deadly virus, yet he played it down, called it a "hoax" and failed to take measures for the safety of the people. Even after losing the election for another term, he has continued to go down the rabbit hole blaming anyone but himself for this gross error in judgement centered around the virus and losing the election.
Surrounded by "yes" men, there is no one to tell the emperor that he has no clothes on. He stands naked before the world, void of morals, and filled with hateful "tweets" inciting violence from white supremacy groups across the country. Russia has gained a firm grip on this country, handed to Putin on a silver platter by Trump. Our government agencies have been hacked beyond comprehension. Or was it. Perhaps they were given access by the man who refuses to hold Putin accountable of anything.
More disturbing than the behavior of Trump, is the failure of the Mitch McConnel GOP led Senate, who fails to hold Trump accountable for his lies, criminal and amoral corrupt activities. It's as if they have all sold their souls to the 😈. Coming up to the presidential election, the Republicans had so many acts of voter suppression in place that it was impossible to thwart them all. The Post Office suffered heavy losses in the dismantling of sorting machines, removal of blue drop boxes and decreased hours. Texas allowed only one ballot box per county, hampering the voting efforts of the marginalized without transportation. Kentucky closed many voting sites for the same reason. Mitch McConnel stole the election in Kentucky through nefarious means and so did Lindsey Graham in South Carolina. Graham even called Georgia to try and get ballots thrown in the garbage. Is this how Graham cheated to win his Senate seat back? The list goes on and on. The Trump administration filed lawsuit after lawsuit, most were thrown out. The Supreme Court refused to hear a case to overturn the results of the election. Georgia had to count its ballots three times. Biden won three times.
Trump is an impeached, pathetic loser.
Please join me in daily prayer for the President-elect and Vice President-elect plus all of his cabinet picks. There is much work to be done. Pray for the Democrats to stand firm and united to bring about the change that this country so desperately needs. Hear our prayer O Lord, in the name of Jesus the Christ, we pray. Amen.
